Introduction
Adam's apple in biology is called orange or apple-bearing maclura (in Latin Maclura pomifera) and belongs to the Mulberry family, just like mulberry. Its other names are “inedible orange”, “Chinese or Indian orange”, “divine tree”, “false orange”, “dyeing mulberry”. 
The fruits of the tree resemble an orange about 15 cm in diameter, only shriveled, and do not spoil for up to 6 months, but you cannot eat them. They ripen in September and October. Originally from Maclura from South America, most often it can be found in the state of Texas, it was brought to us in the nineteenth century.
Because of its unpretentiousness, it can grow anywhere, therefore, it is grown to create a shadow in Kazakhstan, Crimea, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, among the inhabitants of the Caucasus.
What are the benefits of Adam's apple?
Fruits of maclura contain flavonoid compounds that help a person to resist malignant tumors, protect against harmful substances, affect blood clotting, tone up, strengthen blood vessels, improve metabolism.
Fatty acids, which are rich in seeds of adam apples, are a source of energy. The leaves of this tree contain citric acid, which helps heal wounds. 
Official medicine has not yet studied the beneficial properties of this tree, but in folk medicine it is used for the treatment of:

Recipe tinctures for joints outer
Marked high efficacy of maclura in the treatment of problems with joints, for which make tincture. You will need:
- Adam's apple;
- knife;
- cutting board;
- vodka;
- jar with a lid.
Important! When working with Maclura, be sure to wear gloves on your hands.
Maclura finely chopped, put in a jar and pour vodka or moonshine. Insist 2 weeks. A small amount of tincture rub your joints red-hot before going to bed and go to bed. You can additionally tie them with something wool.
When choosing a container, pay attention to its compliance with the volume of the prepared tincture, since the tincture will have the best properties if it does not contact with air during infusion, therefore fill the can up to the top.
For this purpose, an ointment is also made, which can be made with the help of:
- Adam's apple;
- domestic pork fat.
You will also need a grater or meat grinder, a cutting board, a knife, gloves, a tin can with a lid for cooking and a dish for draining fat. Cut the bacon into cubes (the smaller, the easier it will be to heat it), fold it into a clean dish and put it in a water bath. 
Drain the melted fat in a separate bowl, cool it. The resulting lard should not be hot, but do not bring it to freeze. Maclura grate or grind in a meat grinder. Put Adam's apple and fat in the same jar in the same layers so that the lower and upper layers are made of Smaltza.

Transfer the lid to the jar in a dark warm place and leave for 10 days. Keep the finished product to be in the cold. For treatment, 1 tablespoon of ointment is placed in a warm place to soften, then applied to a piece of bandage or gauze folded in several layers (cotton fabric can be used), applied to the sore joint before bedtime and wrapped, it is better to woolen.
The next morning, the bandage is removed, the place of application is wiped clean with a napkin and ordinary clothes are worn. 
From the ointment, you can make candles for the treatment of diseases of a straight cat. Put 1 teaspoon of softened ointment on cling film, roll it up with a thin “sausage” and tighten the edges. After solidification in the refrigerator, the candle is ready for use rectally.
Adam's apple tincture recipe for alcohol
In order to prepare the alcohol tincture of maclura, you need:
- proper maclura;
- alcohol strength of 96%;
- gloves;
- jar with a lid;
- knife;
- cutting board.
Adam's apple is well washed, crushed, put in a glass jar, poured with alcohol so that the fruits are covered completely, sent to a dark place away from heat sources (but the refrigerator is not suitable for this purpose). 
It is better to take strong alcohol, because it is very difficult to wash the fruit thoroughly because of sticky juice, and some bacteria die only with such strength. The most useful tincture is the one that has been insisting for a year, although it is considered finished after it has stood for a month.
After cooking it is filtered. Elixir does not lose its beneficial properties up to 10 years. This infusion is recommended to take orally to achieve the best effect in the treatment of various diseases.
Important! Adam's apple is poisonous, so you need to start a course of treatment with 1 drop, gradually increasing, and be sure to dilute it with water. The maximum daily consumption is 30 drops.
The regimen looks like this:
- Week 1 - pipette 1 drop of the elixir, dilute in a tablespoon of water and drink immediately before meals three times a day.
- Week 2 - 2 drops of elixir diluted in a tablespoon of water and drink immediately before meals twice a day.
- Week 3 - 3 drops of elixir diluted in a tablespoon of water and drink immediately before meals three times a day.
- Week 4 - 4 drops thrice a day.
- Week 5 - 5 drops three times a day, etc., up to 10 drops three times a day, but be careful with the maximum dosage, it is possible that your body will not work.
- Then you should act in reverse order, gradually reducing the dose to the initial one.
The course of treatment can be held twice a year with an interval of not less than 3 months. Tincture can be used externally for the treatment of osteochondrosis, colds and other diseases.
In the treatment of osteochondrosis will help: woodlouse, ambrosia, sunberry, golden mustache, sphagnum moss, alokaziya, zhaykost, fir and mordovnik.
Recipe for the treatment of heel spurs
Maclura is used for the treatment of heel spurs. For this you will need:
- Adam's apple;
- olive oil (or any other vegetable oil);
- gloves;
- grater or meat grinder;
- blender;
- container for cooking with a lid.
The Adam's apple is grated or ground with a meat grinder, filled with vegetable oil, whipped with a blender and allowed to brew for 10 days in a dark and warm place.
1 tablespoon of the finished product spread on plastic wrap, applied to the heel, not tightly bandaged to keep in place, and put on a sock. It is best to do this at night, the film should be taken in such a size that the product does not leak from under it. The course of treatment is 7 days.
After applying the skin in this place will darken, but after a while the natural color will return. In this form, the tool is applicable for the treatment of corns, skin inflammation, as well as massage.
How to treat varicose veins
The use of maclura for the treatment of varicose veins makes it possible to:
- Reduce pain.
- Remove excess fluid.
- Improve the vascular permeability.
- Prevent stagnation.

For the treatment of varicose veins also use: Kalanchoe, home fern, chestnut honey, butcher, nutmeg.
To do this, a softened ointment on the basis of Adam's apple (see the recipe above) is applied to the area with diseased veins in the morning and evening for 10 days and bandaged with an elastic bandage.

Twenty-minute foot baths based on tincture at the rate of 10-15 drops per liter of warm water help very well. Need to continue 10 days. Make sure that the sore spots are under water.
You can make trays on the basis of decoction from the leaves of Adam's apple, they are also useful. Use folk remedies in combination with drug treatment, it will increase its effectiveness. 
Contraindications
Due to the fact that the fruits of Adam's apple contain a large amount of sugar, patients with diabetes should refrain from internal use of tincture from it. From the internal and external use of any type of maclura-based products should be abandoned for pregnant, lactating, children, allergies.
In order not to increase the load on the liver, cancel the treatment with maclura for the period of taking antibiotics or a course of chemotherapy, and eliminate alcohol from the diet if you begin treatment with maklyura.
Important! Treatment with adam's apple remedies should be stopped immediately if you feel weak, you feel dizzy, shortness of breath, nausea or vomiting.
As you can see, the scope of application of the fruit of Adam's apple is very wide - from skin problems to bone and vascular diseases. Particularly admired their ability to resist malignant tumors.
