This was stated by the authorities of the Mikhailovsky District of Primorye, in one of the pig farms of which a virus was detected. According to workers of the pig farm, the foot-and-mouth disease virus was recorded in pigs from Denmark, but experts at the same time reassure that the incident will not affect the timing of the commencement of commercial production.
The virus was confirmed by laboratory tests, and after that, a decree was signed on the destruction of 481 animals. As the authorities summed up, the damage will be caused to Rusagro-Primorye LLC, which owns the infected pig farm.
