The Swedish company IKEA will grow lettuce and other vegetables in their supermarkets

This was announced by Jonas Carlehead, IKEA Network Development Manager in Sweden.

Bonbio and IKEA will grow lettuce at two IKEA stores in Malmö and Helsingborg, where Bonbio will recycle production waste, namely CO2, into electricity.

Plants in the store will be grown hydroponically, that is, in water. Lighting, heat, supply of fertilizer for plants and temperature - will control Bonbio, which will allow growing vegetables and fruits in the supermarket almost the whole year.
