Among the shortcomings can be identified the need to pinch and tie up bushes, among other characteristics there are no drawbacks.

Agrotechnology

An important role in obtaining a decent crop has the right agronomy: from planting seeds, planting seedlings and ending with pinching, loosening, watering and tying. Description of the main stages in the cultivation of tomatoes "Gulliver F1" consider below.

Seed preparation, planting seeds and care for them

For seedlings planted in early March. Tomato seeds must be treated with a weak solution of potassium permanganate and antifungal agent, because not all manufacturers guarantee protection from root rot and fungus.

Prepared land mixture (the usual composition for tomatoes) is poured into boxes for seedlings, boiled water and allowed to stand for a while. Seeds are planted in the formed furrows to a depth of no more than 2 cm, the boxes are covered with foil and put in a warm shaded place.

After the seeds germinate, the boxes are placed on the windowsill with good lighting. Watering is carried out once a week (if the soil dries faster, perhaps once every 5-6 days), you can use a spray bottle. With the appearance of two or three already full sheets of seedlings need to dive. Seedlings are seated in individual peat or plastic cups, while cutting the core part of the spine.

Important! The pick stimulates the development of a more developed root system and thus gives more strength and growth to the seedlings.

Seedling and planting in the ground

Upon reaching the seedling age of 50-55 days, it is planted in open ground. The recommended distance between the bushes in a row is 40 cm and 70 cm between rows. Soil must first be fertilized with organic or phosphate fertilizers.

Care and watering

Growing tomatoes, "Gulliver F1" is not much different from other early ripening varieties. Tomatoes need additional feeding, it is important to loosen the soil around the stems and regularly remove weeds so that they do not clog the roots and do not accumulate excessive moisture. When the bushes reach more than 40 cm in height, they must be tied up using pegs or top mounts. Since this variety has a very branched structure, it must be stepchild.

Important! For a variety of tomatoes "Gulliver F1" optimally leave 2 or 3 stems.
For better ripening of fruits, trimming of excess foliage is done: the bushes are more ventilated and do not spend energy on the foliage.

Pests and diseases

Tomato variety "Gulliver F1" is little susceptible to disease, but prevention is necessary. Fungal and viral diseases are not terrible to this tomato, but infection is possible with a very thick planting and the presence of weeds. Therefore, it is recommended to cut off excess leaves and remove weeds. Late blight is not dangerous, because the early variety does not have time to pick it up. When aphids appear, the bushes are treated with soapy water or sprayed with special insecticides.
