Partridge - one of the most popular birds of our time. This is directly related not only to the fact that this bird is very beautiful and quite a lot of it, but also because it is the main target of every hunter. Of course, the most common method of hunting is a gun. Nevertheless, there are many alternative ways to catch a partridge in winter and summer.
Bird in the net
Summer for the hunter - favorite time. This period is considered the most favorable for catching partridges. One of the common means for hunting birds is nets. This tool is made from a special silicone thread. In some cases, you can use the nylon type. Dividing the thread should have a size not exceeding 2 cm. In order to set the trap, it is necessary to use poles and ropes. The most convenient location of the latter will be a straight line. The downside distance to the ground should be 1 meter, while the top should be 6 m. The most effective is to use a grid, which is 7-8 meters wide.

- First you need to choose a place where the most birds are located.

- As partridges begin to fear, flying away, they fall into the net.

Use bottle
An unusual, but quite effective method of capturing a partridge is a bottle. The main tool that is required for this process is a bottle, a thermos, hot water and, in fact, the "material for biting" - the bait. In order to cook this trap, you must:
- Make the trap itself from the bottle: you need to cut three-quarters of its length.
- In a thermos you need to pour boiling water (will be needed in the future) and prepare the bait (grain or berries).

It should be remembered that catching a partridge by means of a bottle can be done only in the presence of snow.After the hunter finds a habitat for the birds, it is important to make ice holes. This is necessary in order to insert the bottom of the bottle into the snow. Next, pour water into it and wait until the snow around the bottle turns into ice. After that, the bottle is pulled out, the trap is covered with a small amount of snow. Over this place the bait keeps within.
At first glance it may seem that this is just a set of incomprehensible actions. Nevertheless, the principle of operation of this trap is quite effective: the partridge, finding food, dives into the hole for bait, gets stuck and comes across. It is stuck for the reason that, due to the small diameter of the hole, the bird cannot spread its wings in order to take off.
As an alternative to a plastic bottle, you can use a champagne bottle. The principle of operation of this design is the same.
How to make a loop
Another "winter" way of catching this bird is the loop. Masters of their craft make loops of fishing line, which is usually used in fishing. It is best to use a fishing line, the cross section of which is close to 0.5 mm. One end of the fishing line is used for making a loop, half-centimeter-sized, and the other is mounted on the middle of the base of the trap, consisting of a half-meter double thread.
Important! Partridge falls into a stupor in the presence of danger.One of the most common ways of catching birds in the winter is Pechersk. The basis of this method is the biological peculiarity of birds, since during the search for food they climb to a variety of elevations.
In order to make such a trap, you must:
- To form a snow hill, whose height is half a meter, and width - 0.8 m.
- To make a bait, you need to place willow branches on the edges of the embankment.
- Between them is a fence with a door to which the ridge is attached.
- The loop is installed at a height of 7-8 meters.
Important! Of course, it is easiest to install these traps on the plain, since in the forest snow mounds are very rare. Control traps should be every two days, so that the "catch" did not get someone else, for example, rodents.In the framework of the Inta method of catching birds, their own characteristics stand out. To do this, you need to find a snow mound, where the bush will be located on the one hand, and on the other you need to make a depression. Doors are made on the knoll in which the loop is attached. It is through these doors that the partridge will fly in and fall into the loop where the bait will be located.
Mention should also be made of the Taimyr method. It uses a fishing line, whose diameter is half a millimeter, and wire with a cross section of about 1 mm. The latter is divided into two uniform parts (half a meter). On the one hand, it is necessary to make a ring of 4 mm, to which another eye of 10 mm is attached. To facilitate all the work, you should use pliers.
In addition to chickens, ducks, geese, turkeys at home are increasingly breeding exotic birds - peacocks, ostriches, quails, guinea fowls, pheasants.The finished loop is installed on top of the peg, the height is a quarter of a meter. A ring is put on the ridge, while the fishing line dangles 10-15 cm below the structure. The height of the loop from the ground - up to 10 cm.
Put the snares
One of the most difficult, but at the same time fascinating, methods to catch a partridge is the snare. Through this method, one should hunt white partridges in winter, as they are more valued than their fellows. It is important to note that when using snares, partridges will fall into a loop, which you can easily do correctly with your own hands.
Loop snares are originally made. To do this, you must use copper wire, which will have at least 3 cores. "Loops" must be linked independently. The diameter of the holes should not exceed 12 centimeters, while the length of the tail, through which the snare with a twig will be attached, should be half a meter. The number of traps for hunting partridges will directly depend on how many traps the hunter needs.

At least half a meter of free space should remain on top of the snow, and the distance between the fences should be 2 meters. These openings will serve as a container for sticks with hinges. After installing the entire toolkit and carrying out all the preparatory operations it remains only to wait. 
Thus, in most cases, to catch a bird you can do without a gun for hunting. By adhering to certain recommendations and using the materials at hand, you can catch even more partridges, since you can use a large number of traps.
