Andrei Ryumshin, the Minister of Agriculture in the Republic of Crimea, stated that the peninsula is in first place in terms of spring sowing in Russia. For his data, about 44 thousand hectares of cereals and legumes have already been planted. 
The Minister explains such record sowing and productivity of workers by favorable climatic conditions and wealth of land resources.
The fleet of agricultural equipment necessary for spring field work in 2019 is 8402 units or 102% of the state of the park for the period of spring field work in 2018. "- the minister said. As a percentage, about 44% of the planned value has already been sown (100 thousand . ha). The area of winter crops in the Crimea is more than 469 thousand hectares, of which 85% of seedlings are in good and satisfactory condition.
Also, according to Ryumshin, compared with last year, the need for mineral fertilizers, for the Crimean soil, has grown by almost 104%. Since the beginning of the season, about 8.5 thousand tons of fertilizers have been applied to an area of 221 thousand hectares.
Recall that according to analysts' forecasts, due to the inconstancy of the weather, the Crimean representatives of the agro-industrial complex discussed the possible threat of drought and shortage of the crop for 2019.
