  • A feature of wheat, which belongs to the biological group of two-handles, is that it can be used as a winter crop during autumn sowing, and as a summer crop in spring. Resistance to both high and low temperatures, tolerance to high humidity and dryness, ability to tolerate diseases characteristic of both winter and spring crops are the main advantages of such varieties, making the two-handle wheat a unique crop.

Also, the sowing of the "Caravan" allows farms, if necessary, to reach the seeds of the same variety with thinned sprouts without fear of simultaneous harvesting. In addition, two-handled wheat has excellent baking quality. The variety "Caravan" was recognized as one of the main breeding achievements in 2018, so that the first crops as an insurance crop in the Stavropol Territory will help in the longer term to develop interest in two-handled wheat among farmers all over Russia.
