Sown areas of Amur will occupy 1280 thousand hectares

As in the past year, the sown area of ​​the Amur Region in 2019 will occupy 1,280 thousand hectares. Of these, 250 thousand hectares were allocated for grain crops. 920 thousand hectares were allocated for soybeans, 14 thousand hectares of potatoes, 3,000 hectares of vegetable and melons and 93 thousand hectares of fodder crops.

In the past seven years, there has been a tendency towards a stable and gradual increase in the area of ​​arable land involved in agricultural processing. This year, it is planned to put into storage the fallow lands with an area of ​​at least 20 hectares, the Minister of Agriculture Oleg Turkov said in a statement.

    Farmers of Priamurje have 57 thousand tons of grain seeds and 106 thousand tons of soybean in stock, with a demand of 50 thousand tons and 102 thousand tons of seeds, respectively. At this time there is an import of high-quality seed grain from the Siberian Federal District. They will replace the seeds with low germination. It is planned that over 1.5 thousand tons of seeds of the elite category will be delivered.
