In January-February of this year, Russia increased imports of dried apples by 1/3 compared to the same period in 2018, according to EastFruit experts. The importers of the Russian Federation purchased 507 tons of the product, which cost the country $ 1 million. The largest shipments of the above goods came to Russia from Belarus.
Belarus became the main exporter of dried fruit to the Russian market, whose share was slightly more than half of the total volume of goods purchased. However, in the case of this country, it is impossible to say with confidence that these apples were grown in the Republic of Belarus or were the result of re-export from prescription regions, such as Ukraine, the USA and the EU.
