Every year, breeders delight gardeners and not only their new hybrid varieties, bringing them qualities that give these varieties a special value - high yield, fruit taste and early ripening.

Kibits tomatoes: variety description

The variety of tomatoes "Kibits" is distinguished by early terms of ripening, good yield and tasty fruits. It belongs to the determinant varieties. The bush can grow up to 80 cm. The term of maturation is 100-110 days from the moment of sowing the seeds.

The variety is resistant to a complex of diseases, especially to phytophthora, which makes it particularly attractive. It is considered a Polish variety. There is its analogue, called "Chibis".

It can be grown in open ground and in the greenhouse.

Specifications:

• Small fleshy fruit, elongated.
• The average weight of one tomato is 50-60 g.
• Due to its density, it is well transported and stored - in a cool place - up to 1 month.
• The color of the immature fruit is green, ripe - red.
• Low-cell fruits - have 2-3 nests.

The peculiarity of the variety is the amicable ripening of fruits, approximately the same size, which is a valuable quality for whole-fruit canning.

Planting and care

Zoned for midland and south in open ground. In the northern part of the country is grown only in the greenhouse. It grows best on light fertile soil, especially after cucumbers, parsley, carrots and cauliflower. The average yield - 3.5 kg per bush.

It tolerates a dense planting, which allows you to get more yield from 1 square. Seeds for seedlings are sown in mid-March for further transplantation into the greenhouse, for open ground - later. Before planting, the seeds are disinfected in a weak solution of potassium permanganate, and the soil is shed with a systemic fungicide.

For the middle lane, the dates of landing in the greenhouse are mid-May, in the open ground is the first decade of June after the end of the frost. "Kibits" does not need a garter and pasynkovanii. Support will be needed if the bush will be a large number of fruits and the threat that the stem may break.

When planting seedlings in the ground in the hole you need to add humus mixed with complex fertilizer, mix everything with a small amount of sand and pour it all with a solution of fungicide to prevent fungal diseases. The soil around the bush is desirable to mulch.

Further care is regular watering and loosening. For irrigation it is better to use warm water. While the tomato is growing, it needs to be fed 2-3 times.

Diseases and pests

The Kibits variety has an increased resistance to vertex and root rot and is tolerant to late blight. When complying with agrotechnics, the plant is very rarely sick.

If, however, a tomato is affected by pests - a nematode, spider mites or caterpillars - first of all it is necessary to remove the diseased plant, dig up the soil on the rest of the plantation and use the onion and garlic peel extracts to spray the bushes (soak 200 g per 1 l of water). This mixture, by the way, can be added when planting seedlings.

Tomato variety "Kibits" is quite suitable for fresh consumption, its fruits are very tasty and useful. But he is especially good at whole-fruit conservation. It can be used in any kind of blanks.
